Bio
Manifa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Cal State University of Northridge so you can be assured she knows what she’s doing when it comes to designing programs and training clients. Manifa began her fitness career in 2005 after she became certified through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). In addition to traditional certifications such as strength, conditioning, balance, and weight management, she also holds specialty certifications, such as Neuromuscular Stretching, Optimum Performance Training, pre-natal, and core training.
After training clients one-on-one for 2 years, she found that she rarely came across a client who was not suffering from some type of past or current injury which lead Manifa to receive her CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist). Wanting to learn more, she gained extensive experience working hand-in-hand with chiropractors and physical therapists in an out-patient rehabilitation environment. Her experience will help you overcome past injuries and move on to having a strong, healthy and fit body. She has ample experience helping people overcome low back pain, knee and shoulder pain. Add that to her ability to progress a client safely from stabilization training through strength and into power training all with perfect form and technique, and you have an expert personal trainer.
In 2015, she also obtained her Action Personal Training Certification which speciality includes inflammation/hormones/metabolism certification as well as advanced nutrition and senior core/strength/conditioning training.
Manifa believes in order to give her clients the results they strongly desire, she needs to equip herself with as much knowledge in this ever changing industry by attending fitness courses on a continuous basis.
After giving birth to her 2 children, she understands how difficult it can be to juggle family life, a professional life, as well as carving time to workout and lead a healthy lifestyle. "In order to take care of others, you must first learn to take care of yourself, learn how to get the most out of your workouts so you can enjoy life injury free." One must be able to physically move through everyday activities. "The whole body works together as a kinetic chain and so we must train the muscles to work together." Her functional training style will help you through your everyday life to move easily and effectively.
Clients love Manifa’s stretching sessions and her coaching style, which is friendly, encouraging but firm. Her warm personality makes training fun and her experience means she can step up the intensity and bring it back down as needed.
Whatever your fitness goals are, rest assure that Manifa will help you get there safely and effectively.
